This lady surcoat is round collar, wide sleeves, rightward cross collared with traditional Chinese frog decoration. It also has four buttons with hollow gilt bronze design. The cuffs are inlaid with yellow dark satin, embroidered deer, crane and peony pattern, crane and dear is the symbol of spring and life, meanwhile dear and crane together have another meaining of longevity. It also means "fortune comes with blooming flowers". The shoulder is decorated with four pattern of "ruyi",and embroidered flower and birds pattern. Beige satin side edge was attached together with multicolored miscellaneous treasure patterns. Three blue embroidery technique was adopted with eight groups of flowers, butterflies and miscellaneous trearure round patterns, surrounded by decorative foliage flowers as well as Buddhist eight treasures motif with auspicous meaning. The total design of garment is elegant, bright coloring, with exquisite embroidery.
