Embroidered Hanging

This textile features Kutch embroidery, a style which originates from the Kutch district of Gujarat state in western India. This sort of textile is normally hung as a wall decoration. The piece features embroidery with red-violet silk thread atop an indigo-dyed weave ground and is sequined.
