This group of works is a recording of contemporary Chinese women. The works are done in monochrome, and Cui Xiuwen uses abstract compositions with elements of traditional Chinese landscape painting to transcend time and space. The woman in the painting is an adult accompanied with a life-size puppet. The puppet is seen as the artist' second life. These two self-constituted elements consist of a unified of body and soul, life and death.Various postures of puppet reflecting a complicated relation between unity and opposition. This series deeply concerns the spiritual parts of women and analyzes female psychology.
