Enargite was found in the Chinkuashih area in 1905 and began formal mining operation in 1906. From historical documents, every year about 50 thousand tons of copper were produced in the Li-Yueh Copper Smelter Complex. With the decline of the price for copper material, the manufacturer had closed their business in the 1987. Enargite is the main source of copper.
