Encased Double Overlay with Upright Bouquet Paperweight

This is a rare, unusual paperweight and an important example of the excellence of its maker. The upright bouquet in the center is lampworked and surrounded by four layers of glass with the blue layer expertly cut to expose the white layer. After cutting, it is reheated and encased in clear glass.
