Biography:
With numerous World Cups and 10 Olympic Games as part of his resume, Delly Carr has been photographing professional sport in Australia and abroad for over 33 years. His years of signature photography was formally recognised by his peers with his induction as a founding Member of the World Photography Academy as is currently (for the last 10 years) the Sports Photography Ambassador for Nikon Oceania. In 2017, he was judged the AIPP Sports Photographer of the Year, awarded a prestigious Service to Sport Award in 2018, and in 2019 he was given an honour during The International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (for empowering communities around the world through the art of sports photography). "Sports Photography is about respect to all the variables put in front of you. One shall then be happy in the process, allowing oneself to put good energy into the photograph."
