The chancel is the holiest part of the church, where those giving services and the choir sat. The chancel screen is intricately carved and the floor is comprised mostly of brown, red and yellow tiles in patterns of four, creating roundel, leaf and chevron designs. The yellow outer panels are printed with "Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of Hosts".
