Engraulis japonicus. The Anchoby occurs in large schools near the surface, mainly in coastal waters. They are second consumer in the marine food system feeding on copepods and diatoms as a filter feeder. At Jijok Strait, Namhae, Jukbangyeom fishing, a traditional fishing method for anchovy, is known for eco-friend anchovy fishing method in Korea.
