Engraved on the face of the scarab is a horseman riding right, holding a spear in his right hand; an uncertain object is below, hatched border. On the revesre, the scarab beetle is simple, with incised legs, outlined elytra, and winglets distinguished by three diagonal lines; the plinth is plain.

The hoop of the ring is a flat band with two parallel grooves running the length of the outside; two flat strips decorated with two parallel bands of hatched lines are wrapped around the hoop below the terminals, which are pegged joints holding the wire that passes through the scarab.
