Entrance portal

The large front gate was created and donated by Mimmo Paladino and welcomes visitors to the International Museum of Ceramics. It celebrates the 2011 Unesco nomination as ‘MIC as an expression of ceramic art in the world’. The artist, through thoughtful and sophisticated iconography, tells the history of the museum and of ceramics through moulds, decorations, substance and colours all combined under the inscription 1908, the date of the founding of the Museum
