Postcard: 'Entrance to Grant Park, Atlanta, Ga. Building on the right is the Panorama containing the famous oil painting 'The Battle of Atlanta.' In 1893, George Gress donated the Cyclorama, a large circular painting of the 1864 Battle of Atlanta, painted by German artists in Milwaukee, circa 1885-1886, to the City. The cyclorama painting was moved to Grant Park and housed in a circular, wood shingled building until later replaced by a newer building in the twentieth century.
