After twelve years travelling the world as a chemistry technician, Sada turned to Ceramics to cultivate her artistic sensibilities. After studying Ceramics and glass design at London’s Royal College of Art,
her dedicated work has been exhibited in public collections including Munich’s Design Museum, Jorge Pérez Collection in Miami, and Geneva’s Musée Ariana.
Inspired by Leila Jeffreys’ photographic portrait of a wild cockatoo, Eolophus is an expressive vessel doused with vibrant colour. Part of Sada’s Hallstattpieces series, it combines playful experimentation with her signature form of freestyle choreography, driven by an overriding desire to refresh entrenched traditions. The vitality and unpredictability of the piece is evident in the unfinished rim and the thick layers of paint that cascade downward; a dialogue Sada describes as
a ‘tango in explosively colourful attire.’
