Ethiopia is one of the oldest countries of the world with civilizations dating to 2000BC. Ethiopian stamps reflect the country's unique history with stamps dating to the mid 1800s. These include some of Africa's most beautiful issues as well as stamps from the occupation period and the repressive Communist rule that followed Haile Selassie's overthow in 1975.
