Eugene Okada (1919-2012) helped rebuild postwar Sacramento Japantown. He co-edited the community newspaper and organized bowling leagues. He also reopened his family’s landmark Yorozu store, which, after a second relocation in the redevelopment, he ran until his death in 2012.
