View of members of the Eureka Brass Band parading in Jackson Square during the first New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Identified from l to r are: Percy Humphrey playing trumpet and wearing a cap with the word "Leader" on the hatband, Earl Humphrey playing trombone, Oscar "Chicken" Henry playing trombone, Henry "Booker T" Glass wearing a flowered sash, hat and gloves as grand marshall, William Brown playing tuba and at the far right, Albert Walters on trumpet. A crowd of spectators and part of the Lower Pontalba Building is visible in the background. The Eureka band was formed around 1920 and broke up about 1975. Exhibition quality print made from the original negative for display at Jazz Fest 1999.
