European Physical Society (EPS), International Conference on High Energy Physics (EPS-HEP 79) held in Geneva

To mark CERN's 25th Anniversary this year conference was held in Geneva from 27 June to 4 July, at the International Conference Centre. EPS President Antonino Zichichi opened the conference, Research Director-General Leon Van Hove sketched the impressive record of achievements in physics at the time and Bjørn Wiik of DESY outlined prospects for physics.
