From London Midland & Scottish Railway Collection. Euston underground station, London, 1908.
The tube station served the City & South London and Hampstead railways, now the Northern line. It was opened in 1907. Signs point the way to the main line station, operated by the London & North Western Railway.
The construction of underground railways greatly increased commuter traffic in and out of London, and encouraged the growth of suburbs.
