Pingat mantle of silk faille with machine lace, jet appliques and jet fringe; standing collar of crimped black machine lace and faille with applied French jet appliques; repeating spirals of French jet with decorative cotton threadwork between each ring; outer edge of each spiral with floating circles of jet; elbow-length capelet gathered to shoulder line to suggest sleeve; narrow jet band of repeating scroll shapes trims shoulder seam, armscye seam and outer side of each "sleeve"; jet tassels with large jet balls and scalloped diamond shapes of jet hang at intervals and from bottom of band; floating panel of faille cut in one with cape terminates in point with trimming of strands each comprised of alternating segments of coiled steel wire and jet beads; jet spiral appliques trim cape at bottom and top of each floating panel; CF round hook and eye closure; reverse is cape-style cut straight across upper back with two parallel rows of vertical spiral appliques and trimmed with spiral fringe; lining of red silk faille; band of black faille lines neckline.
