The Council of Ex-servicewomen’s Associations (Vic) incorporates women’s service associations, including the Royal Australian Army Nursing Service, Royal Australian Air Force Nursing Service, the Middle East Volunteer Aid Detachment and the Women’s Royal Australian Naval Service.

The Ex-servicewomen's Memorial Garden was created in 2011 to honour the contribution of women in wartime. Inspired by the women’s forgotten flower of remembrance, the garden features concrete violet, Dianella and Ipheion flowers around a memorial cairn dedicated in memory of the Australian Ex-servicewomen from the Boer War to the present. The cairn, which was created in 1985, was relocated to the Shrine Reserve from Kings Domain in 2011.

The garden is encircled by a grove of jacarandas making it a beautiful, peaceful space to honour these women. .
