Exhortation from the Tartu Estonian Committee for donations of warm clothing for soldiers

As the first priority, clothing aid was needed by Krasnoyarsk and Krasnoselsk regiments, which included fathers, sons and brothers from Tartu city and surrounding municipalities. The goal of the donation drive was to provide each soldier with a sweater, woollen socks or footwraps, and gloves and trousers. The donations were accepted at the women’s society at Suurturg 2 (currently the corner of Town Hall Square and Ülikooli st). Donations came in noteworthy quantities and there was enough to supply other units as well.
