Petro Zlenko (1891-1954), Ukrainian refugee from Bolshevism, bibliographer, publicist and librarian, in 1936-1945 employee of the Slavic Library. He was one of several hundred Russian and Ukrainian emigrants taken to the Soviet Union after the end of World War II by the Soviet security authorities. Zlenko was arrested on 6 July 1945 and died in 1954 in one of the gulag camps.
