Exlibris or bookplate of Augusto Burchi (1853-1919), Florentine painter, who worked with Gaetano Bianchi on many restorations and decorations in Florence (Italy), such as Palazzo Vecchio and Palazzo Medici-Riccardi.
Bookplates are labels or marks placed as ownership seals on books, commonly on the inside of the cover, flyleaf, or frontispiece. They are elements that reflect qualities, tastes, trajectory or the history of its owner, usually with a great aesthetic charge. In particular, this ex libris is of the allegorical type, and is found on page 23 of the BNP's Ex Libris album.
