Expedition 38 Prelaunch

Expedition 38 Soyuz Commander Mikhail Tyurin of Roscosmos, performs the traditional door signing at the Cosmonaut hotel prior to departing the hotel for launch in a Soyuz rocket with fellow crew mates, Flight Engineer Koichi Wakata of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, and, Flight Engineer Rick Mastracchio of NASA, Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, in Baikonur, Kazakhstan.
