Michael O'Reilly used spray guns, foam rollers, rags and stencils to paint a large-scale mural in the Extra Care Room that consists of two main figurative elements. A central vista that draws stylistically from vintage travel posters and surrounding sepia illustrations that in many ways resemble Victorian natural history drawings. Service users can spend time drawing out narratives and connections between the mixture of subjects and have described the artwork as ‘serene and deep’.
