Antique Newspapers: Bell's Weekly Messenger. Number 1484

From a collection of antique newspapers containing articles relevant to Black British history; these are often regarding the Translantic Slave Trade, however some articles relate to musicians, sportsmen and British imperialism.
This newspaper includes an account of an application to the Lord Mayor of London by Johannes Pepel (a relation of King Pepel of Bonnie) 'to compel the performance of a contract' (page 285, third column).
