Along the glass facade of the Fagus Factory, a narrow plinth made out of chocolate-colored brick can be seen jutting out by 1.6 inches. This is a common characteristic among all Gropius buildings on the Fagus Factory site. Hardly visible, the delicate plinth makes the mighty constructions appear to float, and it creates visual coherence between them.
