This iron sword with curved blade, which has a single edge, is known as "falcata" and is characteristic of Alta Andalucía Iberian.
It was found in Santa Elena (V-IV centuries BC). After heating it was bend to be unused and deposited between the trousseau of a tomb.
The "falcata" serve to inflict serious damage to the opponent, or hit him with his back. The handle has a characteristic shape of beak bird or horse, and the rivets are preserved. It was an essential weapon among the Iberians.
