Fall: Imoni soup

Imoni is a soup dish made with taros which varies with different regions. The inland areas of Yamagata prefecture serve imoni with beef and seasoned with soy sauce while the Shonai region enjoys their imoni with pork and miso. Imoni-party is often held outdoors during autumn near a river with family and friends to foster friendship while relishing the autumn scenery and imoni.
