Wooden and fabric fan with sixteen rods. It presents a decoration with a scene alluding to the moment when the republicans invade the Army Headquarters to overthrow the monarchical cabinet and establish the Republic, on November 15, 1889, in Campo de Santana, Rio de Janeiro. In this fan, the artist portrayed the event as if it were a military parade, with spectators and national republican flags raised. At the bottom, a gold background with the inscription: "VIEW OF THE PROCLAMATION OF THE REPUBLIC/NOVEMBER 15, 1889"; between the inscription, inside a shield, the bust of Marshal Deodoro da Fonseca, considered the "proclaimer" of the Republic.
