Three generations of the Billotey family have been identified as artists; at least two Billoteys were painting fans between circa 1895 – 1905. Billotey painted fans for several fan makers, most notably Duvelleroy.

Vanier Chardin (French, active 1850s – circa 1900)
Fan maker with premises on 82 Boulevard Haussmann and Rue Auber, Paris. He received medals at the Universal Exhibitions of 1855, 1867 and 1878.
