The series of prints Farabeuf, later donated to the MUSA’s collection, moves away from themes of melancholic remembrance, to go deep into the aesthetics of horror, in an exercise undertaken alongside Martha Pacheco about Salvador Elizondo’s novel Farabeuf or The Chronicle of an Instant (1965), which took them both to interview the artist himself. The novel inspired by French surgeon Louis Hubert Farabeuf (1841-1910) was a literary success that brought together the sadism of Chinese torture methods, the ideograms of the I Ching, eroticism and assassination, in a text influenced by film theories.

Bordes interprets the text graphically from an angular approach and describes several scenes turning to sequential and fragmented planes, where the characters appear trapped in the complexity of their existential anguish.
