In 2007, Dorris McManis challenged herself to create a 12" x 12" quilt each week for a year. She did this "just for myself, to be creative and to do something I would not normally do with fabric." She wrote that these small quilts "reflect the influences of places I have visited, books I have read, and quilters that inspired me."
