Fattorini chess clock

The Fattorini & Sons chess clock is a pendular mechanical clock made by the watchmaking company Fattorini & Sons of Bradford, England between 1887 and 1904.

The clock times the game of chess. The shortest number of moves to win a game of chess is two, known as the Fool's Mate: White, Moves their g-pawn to g4 on their first or second move. Black, opens a diagonal for the queen, then moves their queen to h4 after white moves the f-pawn.

The longest chess game ever played in terms of moves was between Ivan Nikolic and Goran Arsovic in 1989 and lasted 269 moves over four days. The game ended in a draw after more than 20 hours of play.
