Lorna painted all of her paintings of old Baghdad houses in browns and shades, which was the only way in her opinion to accomplish her matter. Perhaps she was influenced by the styles of those Europeans who went to the East in the nineteenth century and created watercolor paintings tending to the colors of the earth and the desert
