"The collections of the museums of Sitges have three paintings by Ramon Casas ( Barcelona, 1866-1932) representing female nude; Nude with guitar, Feminine nudity in perspective and Feminine nudity. Only the first one is dated in 1894, as the others are similar they can be dated at the same period.
The use of waving lines and arabesque forms shows a clear influence of some of Rodin’s works of art such as Andromeda or Danaide. There is a clear influence to works done by painters who moved away from academicism and searched for more innovative solutions. It is a sample of how this great French sculptor influenced beyond sculpture."
