Painted in red and black on a white background, these female pubic covers were individually shaped, accompanying the pubic anatomy of their carriers. Geometric patterns, many of them corresponding to stylized representations of the human figure, fill their four decorative fields, which in some instances are reduced to only three. While the upper range varies little, the next and also the lower range show greater variability. The larger, central field is never repeated. They have, at each end, mooring holes, many of them worn out by use.
