Pirates on Uchiteley street

This artwork was created as part of a project titled "City That Draws Itself". STENOGRAFFIA team developed the design and painted the contours onto an electrical substation. Children from the nearby houses helped with the creation of the mural. They painted within the lines and carried the paint around. Through cooperation, even local bullies became a little friendlier when they picked up the paint. This event shows that the main goal of street art is not just to improve the city's space, but also to unite people through art. That's exactly what happened when kids came together and created a mural about pirates on one of Yekaterinburg's streets. Photo by Dmitry Chabanov.
