Fiacre with Sacré Coeur

A striking recollection of Paris by night: the Sacré Coeur with the silhouette of a carriage in front of it. A dazzling vision in blue, like a fairy tale. Viewed from a café, as the contours of the window and table suggest. Unusual light sources intrigued Sluijters in the 1910s. He painted many moonlit scenes.
