Fiesole, the roman theatre

The Roman theatre in Fiesole: entirely built with "pietra serena" ashlars, the orchestra had seats in marble and marble slabs with relief decorations, now in the Museum, adorned the pulpitum. The construction of the edifice, begun during the early age of Augustus, was completed during the reign of Claudius
