Fighting in Sommacampagna (July 23rd 1848)

Sommacampagna was the scene of one of the many clashes at the battle of Custoza, which lasted from the 22nd to the 27th of July 1848. Carlo Alberto’s army and the volunteers remained alone after the other Italian Kings opted out.
