The cult of the Apis Bull is linked to Osiris, one of the most important figures in the Egyptian pantheon as the creator of agriculture, the era’s principal source of wealth thanks to the annual flooding of the Nile. The Apis bull is represented as if in motion, it carries the solar disk with uraeus, or protecting cobra, between its horns. Around its neck, there is a silver triangle interlaced with finely engraved ornaments that include a wide trim. It has a checkered blanket with fringe on its back, with a winged scarab beetle at the level of its front quarter and a vulture with spread wings in the section corresponding to its hindquarters. The piece includes a rectangular base that has inscriptions on one of its sides.
