Walt Disney was inspired to create Donald Duck after he heard voice actor Clarence Nash do his ����_�duck voice.����_�_ Disney sought to create a character that proved more pessimistic than Mickey Mouse. In 1934, Donald appeared in ����_�The Wise Little Hen.����_�_ Donald danced to the ����_�Sailor����_��s Hornpipe����_�_ and wore a sailor shirt, cap, and a bow tie. Just 9 years later, Donald won an Oscar for the animated short ����_�Der Feuhrer's Face,����_�_ an anti-Nazi cartoon. He went on to star in a number of feature films and cartoons, and he has been a prominent character in popular culture for more than 80 years.
