Figure holding lance

This pottery figure is of a boy holding a long lance, with a large round head and exaggerated features. In his right hand, the lance he carries clears his shoulder. He scratches his head with his left hand and looks into the distance, in an intriguing pose. Figures like this one were usually found in Shehuo performances, which were held during festivals and rituals.
