In 1987, “The Princess Bridge,” directed by Rob Reiner and adapted by William Goldman from his 1973 novel, hit the big screen. The film conveyed the story of Princess Buttercup and the love of her life, Westley, who, with the help of a Spanish fencing master and a massive wrestler from Greenland, rescues the princess from the evil Prince Humperdinck to whom she is engaged. The movie was not a box office success. However, it has now become a part of the cultural landscape. It’s action-packaged, lighthearted, charming, witty, and extremely quotable.
