Silver, 1896-1897, made by Lucius Movio from a model by Adrian Jones. The horse portrayed was the winner of the 1896 Grand National and was called 'The Soarer'. A wax or clay sculpture of the horse was made and from this a mould was taken. Molten silver was then poured into the mould which, when removed, revealed an exact copy.
