Figure on red background

The work consists of a red rectangular frame, within which the rectangular paper of the main composition is inscribed, which is projected on a grey background, with varying tonal gradations, of which the darkest, almost black one stands out, extending diagonally from bottom right to top left. In the lower part of the composition, in the middle of the length of the paper, there is a series of short white lines, one below the other, on a black mass of colour, at the end of which, towards the top, a semi-unfolded, naked, white female figure appears to project, deconstructed with a red outline. The composition also features a tiny grotesque figure with a white face, black, schematically rendered physiognomic features and black clothing, in the upper right-hand corner, and a variegated mass of colour (like a white cloud with a red thunderbolt) in the left-hand corner.
