This Toad figure comes from the most successful video game franchise of all time. Mario has sold over 260 million games worldwide, and the titular character appears in over 200 games on every Nintendo console ever made. Toad serves as Princess Peach's attendant and, in addition to being a singular character, can also refer to an entire species of mushroom-based people. While the Mario series mainly features platform adventures, often involving the safe rescue of Princess Peach, it also includes role-playing, puzzle, racing, and educational games. The franchise further includes television shows, a live-action movie, comics, and promotional materials.
