The swaddled baby is a class of unique modeling subject matter of red and green colored toy porcelain figurines in the Song and Jin dynasty. Wrapping swaddling clothes is an ancient child-rearing custom in China, and folk believe that swaddling clothes can not only keep babies warm, but also help them sleep well and keep their bodies healthy. In ancient times, swaddling became a symbol of a newborn baby, which was shown in many ancient plastic arts. In the Song Dynasty, the number of swaddling baby statues increased. This style of the swaddled baby figurine, which had been unearthed from the "Tomb of Cui Xiannu" of Fengfeng diggings Handan Hebei province, it was collected by overseas too.
