Aztec-style figurine. 'Female holding child', in standing position. Headdress of double side loop with top projections (broken off across the top). Rounded face, eyes outlined by raised rims. Nose large, damaged. Mouth damaged. Earspools with raised rim and central dot. Necklace single row of 13 vertical units. Breasts depicted. A circle with central raised ring and 10 indented dots around the periphery on the figurine's left upper arm, just below the shoulder. The hand is placed on the torso beneath the breast. In the figurine's right arm is a child, depicted wearing a double side looped headdress with two upper corner projections, earspools (with centre indents), a two band necklace and a skirt with a band and fringe border. The child is shown with breasts and arms bent at the elbow, spread, four-fingered hands upwards, feet protruding forwards from beneath the skirt. The adult has two circular indentations, one in each armpit. The skirt has an impressed diamond design with a band and vertical fringe on the border. The skirt has a belt at the waist, twisted in the centre with two elongated ties? with knobbed ends hanging each side of the twists. Feet facing to the front. Back convex, rounded at base. Red slip.
