Film poster for the Hindi film 'Vishwanath' (proper noun), released in the year 1978.

The hand-painted poster shows multiple characters from the film. Starting from the top most area of the
poster, first comes a two line text in Devanagari reading 'Jali Ko Aag Kehte Hai, Bujhi Ko Raakh Kehte
Hai' (What's burning is called fire, what's extinguished is called ash), next line; 'Jis Raakh Se Baarood
Bane, Use Vishwanath Kehte Hai' (The ash which is used to make explosives, Is what is called Vishwanath).
Below this text, towards the left is a bust-length painting of the character Golu Gawah (Pran), holding
a knife in his right hand. Below his image is a bust-length painting of the main villain GNK (Premnath),
who is holding a revolver in his right hand. To the right of his painted image is an image of the
protagonist Vishwanath, played by Shatrughan Sinha, who is also holding a revolver in his hand. Above
his image towards the top right corner area is a painting that shows a man physically/sexually violating
a woman. Below the composition of these images is the film title in Devanagari. Below the film title,
'EASTMANCOLOR' is also written in Devanagari towards the right. In the lower half of the poster, towards
the bottom left, there is a painted image of the character Khokha (Ranjeet) strangling Vishwanath with his
left hand from the backside and holding a revolver in his right hand. Towards the bottom right corner area
is a bust-length painting of the character Soni, Vishwanath's love interest played by Reena Roy. On the
bottom border of the poster, from left to right, there are film credits printed as 'DIRECTION:- SUBHASH
GHAI', 'MUSIC:- RAJESH ROSHAN'. Overlapping with Shatrughan Sinha's painted image in the top half
of the poster, the banner's name is present in Devanagari as 'Ramayan Chitra', next line; 'Krit' (created).
